I'M SO UPSET THAT THERE IS NO SEQUEL ARRRGGGHH It's been nine years since the first movie and personally i'd love another one, it was a fun watch honestly, the first half was a little slow but the second half is action packed, enough to get the blood pumping and enough to make up for the slow pace of the beginning. Watch this if you were a fan of the book. It may be frustrating because a sequel is nowhere in sight but I recommend it. Edit: after reading some of the other reviews I believe this movie deserves a Reboot, the story has MASSIVE potential IMO, I enjoyed the first greatly but I feel they should have stuck to the integrity of the book instead of trying to make another teen romance/action flick. I feel if Bay (the director) and the writers stuck to the book and maybe took out some unimportant stuff INSTEAD of adding in things that weren't there and taking out important plot points or changing things up, it would have had a better chance at survival with fans, I can't speak for the box-office but I believe it would have garnered a bigger cult following now and a new fanbase that discovered the book after 2011 thus a dedicated fanbase that could maybe bring it back if they showed enough interest.
