What an incredible cast! All of the main actors performances were brilliant. And, what Scorsese does with framing the narrative is just genius! Robert Dinero being interviewed, documentary style, is the glue that holds the picture together. Now, with that said, the film does capture your attention right away but it seems to take awhile to comprehend what the story is leading up to. And the film is way too long. So much could be removed without taking anything away from the movie. But, if you have 3 plus hours to see the film I recommend staying through the credits to a very interesting conversation about the making of the film featuring Scorsese, Deniro, Pesci and Pacino sitting in a restaurant style booth. Wow !!
