I liked the new version. A bit different from the original story, but loved the action sequences. Made me remember crouching tiger... I did miss mushu tho. We rewatched the animated movie first, because we hadn't seen it in years. My 14yo didn't realize how much she'd forgotten from the original story. 5 minutes into the 2020 version she was Not happy, but by the end she really enjoyed the movie. Change is not always bad. And I LOVED seeing Gong Li, have loved her since "memoirs".
