I watched an episode last night (1-18-21) that I ABSOLUTELY HATED! I was so upset afterwards. A lady was turned in for keeping a white tailed deer as a pet. She had had the deer for a year and a half. You could tell how much she loved the deer when she hugged it. I understand a wild species of deer cannot be kept as a pet, Yada,yada,yada. If they were going to take it away, they should have a had a safe place for the deer to go if it could not be released back into the wild. The park & wildlife officer that came out should have known it was too old to go back into the wild. They led the woman to believe it would be fine. Then......at the end of the episode we are told it was not healthy enough to go back to the wild so it was euthanized!! Couldn’t it have gone to some wildlife refuge or petting zoo or ? This episode really upset me. I cried and cried for the deer and that poor woman.
