It was an interesting piece on intergenerational trauma , the binding effects of family , religion and bias . It illustrates the difficulty of managing trauma a broken health system geographical disadvantage and social determinants of health . As someone who works in this space I found it worthwhile , the reaction is even more interesting. There are no grand or sweeping statements , instead opens a conversation on the very realities that many live through . The labels of " poverty porn " are problematic , placing needless limits on the stories that need to be told .
