I felt this movie was way too dark for the young audience it's aimed at. It had a lot of violence and threatened violence, scary images, and even alluded to a cat being high from catnip. In addition, there were so many story lines that it felt really disjointed. Other than the animals eventually working together (and saying this is a stretch), it was like they threw several writers in a room with no ability to work together, then folded it all into one movie. I realize this movie was a cartoon, and it was supposed to be light-hearted and fun, but they missed the mark, in a big way. My 14 year old son felt it was way too violent and scary for little kids, and was very adamant that his 3 year old cousins would be way too scared by this film. I'd recommend this for kids that are at least 8 years old and up. I couldn't wait for this movie to end. 3/10.
