2.5 stars for: season 1 being gripping and detailed, excellent acting all around, a good soundtrack and sense of place. Season 1 was good, if a bit over-wrought with plot threads and jumping between suspects that Yoann is 'CERTAIN' did it (but didn't). Compelling to a point but the amount of times he should have been fired really started to get on my nerves. Season 2 was still a good mystery that kept me guessing, but ultimately a mess with unresolved ghost plots, Zoé and Camille completely disappearing from the story, and an ending that just really annoyed me (unsatisfactory). If you want a creepy, Twin Peaks vibe Franco-Belgian murder drama set in the deep forest, save yourself the time and watch Zone Blanche (Black Spot) instead.
