Been a wrestling fan my whole life, going on almost 30 years now. AEW has lots of talent and promise. Really fun show, and I just want to say I enjoyed myself. The biggest critique so far is that wrestlers seem a bit disjointed on what they want to do during matches. For example, the ref never should have allowed Dustin Rhodes to beat up on Jericho outside the ring as long as he did. I think that moment was a botch on the refs part. Another point is when Tully ran interference during the Moxley/Spears match. A wrestler has to take advantage of the interference, but Moxley took over anyways and the point was moot. I like that there’s no WWE creative behind the scenes, but some structure is needed. Case: Kenny and Moxley with the barbed wires. Mox should have done something with the bat to build intrigue. Like I said, I enjoyed myself. These are things I’d like to see to make AEW great.
