I guess this would be a better movie if they didn’t change almost everything in the show. They changed most peoples names, important events that happens, and didn’t even get Armin’s hair color right. If you didn’t watch the anime or read the manga, or didn’t even know what Attack on Titan is, this could be a good movie, but I was only able to get 30 minutes in before shutting it off. My parents watched it and they loved it and never saw the anime, so it really could be good, but I can’t even watch anymore. I mean Hans? It’s Hanji/Hange, and Souda? Do you mean Hannes? And they never even showed Eren’s mother, Carla, getting eaten by a titan, and that is a very important part of the show, and even goes into season 2 and 3 adding more to the situation, not just Eren being sad his mother is dead. And at least get the outfits correct. But to be fair, it does look good. The titans do look good and realistic, and I guess the setting looks ok, even though they somehow managed to change it. But I just wished they would just at least try to stick on the path the anime and manga took. Like seriously, you can’t use a blonde wig for Armin, or add just 2 letters to Hanji’s name? Yes, the movie does look good but it would be better if you didn’t even try to connect it to the anime. I’ll be nice and give it 2 stars since the movie itself is ok, but it’s not even worth it to try to connect it with Attack on Titan, there’s barely anything that has to do with the movie and anime/manga except that a few, yes FEW, of the characters have the same names, and there’s titans and walls there.
