As a romance reality TV lover, I am loving this Asian take on dating shows. I feel like this is a mix between Love Island and Terrace House: tropical fun meets co-living situation with characters that are more polite & shy as compared to Western dating culture seen on TV.
I think this show is so interesting to me because it's more of a slow-burn - like watching a K-drama. So it may be more exciting to some, or boring for those who prefer lots of fast-paced drama.
As to the controversies that sparked due to some characters voicing out that they prefer light skin... Honestly, I don't feel it's a big deal as they were voicing out their own preferences. Although, it would be great if they included a wider variety of people in for next season.
I'm glad that they included a commentary part like Terrace House, because the hosts often voice out what we as watchers are thinking. However, I don't feel that their chemistry is very good (nowhere close to the hosts from TH) and I wish to see a new panel for the next season.
Looking forward to more Asian dating shows in Netflix!
