Magnificent performances all round but Colin Farrell's central performance is utterly majestic: he's a truly great actor. The screenplay is wonderfully reminiscent of the great noir of the Forties, and the soundtrack is magnificent throughout the series. Contrary to some sniffy critics, l found the mid-season twist added so much to the show and put a whole new perspective on everything that went before and followed. Put simply - l loved the twist which added to my already 5-star rating. Excusing the pun, I could watch shows like Sugar to the point of suffering dramatic diabetes. I hope Apple make many more seasons. If they do, I'll happily retain my subscription.

Ignore the critics. If you want 2 hours of thrilling action - from beginning to end - with quick fire repartee between the two central characters who have brilliant chemistry, then watch Ghosted. The script is excellent and funny, the acting is top notch, the action and fight sequences, and the set-piece stunts are stunning. Those critics who say that Chris and Ana lack chemistry are emotionally unaware, at the very least, if not dead! Especially wonderful is the "in joke" sequence of bounty hunters who are after Chris and Ana's characters, and the cameo performance by a certain other superhero character towards the end of the film is nothing short of genius. A brilliant action comedy romance. I hope they make Ghosted 2.

Amazing and stunning Sci-Fi. Simply put, this is one of the most thrilling shows that I've ever watched. Aside from the fabulous storytelling, the acting by all concerned is top notch. It brings the idea of avatars to a whole new level by introducing the concept of "time travelling" - in a wholly unique fashion - by using the actual scientific notion of quantum tunneling. I feel the influence of the greatest of all the science fiction authors - Philip K Dick - in the world created by the mind of William Gibson. When each episode finished, l knew that l had to continue to the next episode, and the next, and the next. Roll on season two.

Ronan and Rockwell are wonderful as the leads in this winsome homage to the archetypal "Christie" whodunit. It's respectful while gently mocking. Saoirse shades Sam in the acting honours. As one of the greatest screen actresses (ever), there appears to be no genre that she cannot master, and her comedic timing in this lovely spoof "Christie" whodunit is immaculate as always. The scene where she is told to keep her eyes "peeled" is laugh out loud funny, and the lovely way in which she throws away gentle yet funny puns is nothing short of remarkable. Sam plays a perfect mix of dowdy English detective with a touch of Sam Spade.

One cannot express an opinion on a full show simply upon its first episode but if the show maintains the quality and intrigue of episode one, House of the Dragon could be very, very good, if not outright brilliant. Superb scene setting, all round pitch perfect performances, with an especially magnificent performance by Rhys Ifans. Being both a Game of Thrones fan and a Lord of the Rings fan, l especially enjoyed the opening nod to the Lord of the Rings with the Lady Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) like lead-in monologue. Five well-deserved stars for episode one.

A brilliant addition to the Marvel Universe with fantastic central performances so full of excitement, fun and very funny humour. Shang Chi and the associated characters are ones l would happily pay to watch again. The story arc is full of Marvel associations but add a wonderful new martial art sense to the Universe. The action sequences are among the very best l have seen in any film, and l truly hope to see this side of the franchise take off.

I loved this version of the film because of the development of the characters which was so missing in the original. Hell, l even enjoyed the old 4:3 format which - paradoxically - appeared to increase the scale of the movie. Steppenwolf was a vastly improved and more menacing villain, and the "darkness" of the theme and story are truer to the DC World than Whedon's "Marvelising" of the DC Universe. (PS I love the Marvel Universe too.) The one great mis-step for me was the underutilised Wonder Woman. The original Wonder Woman movie remains the best of the DC movies with Man of Steel a close second.

Stunningly realised sci-fi brilliance. All performances are excellent but Joel Kinnaman's performance as the central protagonist is utterly superb, and especially noteworthy. He makes me think of a brutally futuristic Philip Marlowe or Sam Spade in the great tradition of Chandler and Hammett. He's at once threatening, unnerving, intrinsically human and deadpan in his delivery of a great script. The story is replete with all sorts of fundamental questions about life and its value, and the significance and value of life being demeaned and debauched by the avoidance of death by those wealthy enough to attempt to escape it.
