I’m sorry but this show is a flop. I wanted to like this because I very much enjoyed Flip or Flop. Christina and HGTV treat this as a reality show that highlights her, her past teenage life, her love of money and fashion, and her “woes” of house hunting. This show came off as all about her with very few snippets of the people she’s serving—the people who reached out to her for design help. I agree with one person reviewing their experience with this show—her design skills are minimal at best. She and Tarek picked some things, the contractors did the work (with a few clips of her and Tarek pitching in) and the stagers did the rest. Flip or Flop was a collaboration and that side of her is missing. She has zero connection with her clients and it shows. It’s clearly all about her—a woman in her mid 30’s trying to recapture her youth. I didn’t realize how self-serving and conceited she is. It’s quite evident that cameras following her around on Flip or Flop caused her head to swell. She’s just not that interesting of a person to pull off the type of reality show she’s going for. I watch HGTV for ideas and tips and tricks on home buying and design. I don’t watch it to learn about the personal life of the real estate agent/interior designer. Focusing on her personality was a HUGE mistake HGTV. Now it’s going to be very hard to undo and unsee this image that Christina has revealed. I see her traits as a human being (which are not becoming of her) and I don’t see any professionalism as a designer. Her chemistry with Tarek on HGTV is far better than what’s she’s currently displaying. There’s obviously a void in her life and she’s looking for people and things to fix it instead of working on herself. She’s acting like a child and not the adult/designer she should be focusing on. She’s appears to be full of herself with very little substance. We didn’t need to know that there’s no depth to her. It’s sad that she’s setting herself up for a hard fall. It’s time for Christina to grow up and for the network to find a new designer/ agent or contractor to highlight and get this type of show off the air. It’s a knockoff of the Kardashians at best. It’s very unbecoming of HGTV. I hope you, HGTV, listen to the feedback from your viewers.
