Jayraj Naugah – Google

Just watched ‘AdiPurush’ at Cinema Anand, Triolet. Since its only 15 mins from my place; thought that i’d save time, money and petrol. Revisited this cinema after 43 years; not much has changed. The wooden benches have been replaced by conventional cinema seating but then it took me 6 attempts to find a place where the seat was intact. The cinema stinks of urine, is very stuffy and the toilets don’t flush. As for the film; the less said the better… expected it to be a CGI version retelling of the Ramayana but it ended up being very dark ( visually as well as thematically) and might as well have been an animated feature. Saving grace bar the music is Saif Ali Khan as Ravaana but even his 10 heads are not enough to save the brainless screenplay. Rating (out of 5) 🌟 🌟
