Two full days of reading, coupled with the burning of the proverbial midnight oil for several hours later than midnight, brought me finally to the last page of "Imaginary Friend",and I was left with the uncomfortable feeling that Happy Endings are not permanent, and that Evil is not defeated by Good...not by a long chalk!!!This is a book with wonderfully detailed descriptions of characters, believable characters, good and bad,and their Hope's,dreams, ambitions and tangled relationships. The mother-son relationship between Kate and her little 8-year old son, Christopher is one of the most moving I have ever met in literature.
