I'm mixed with this one. I loved this film up until the last ten minutes. However, I understand why it went down. It was to show the relation between the first film. But it happened so...abruptly, I suppose, that it made it seem completely different from what they were originally aiming for. It felt as though they threw the last ten minutes in because they remembered that "Cloverfield" was in the title and they needed a way to show the viewers that yes, they are connected. I could do without it. Had they left the film with how the began it, with a crazy guy keeping two strangers underground with him and they have to fight for survival, I'd be very happy. But I'm torn. I guess if I had to give it a rating, I'd give it a 5/10.
