An incredible movie packed to the brim with subtext and many layers to decipher. An excellent watch for someone who wants substance and something to chew on.
The film meaningful explores themes like the conflict between art and capitalism (core theme), ideals vs compromises, Anti-semitism & Zionism, love, trauma, recovery, and war.
The incredible performances (especially Brody's Oscar-winning) also beautifully showcase pride, dignity, tenderness, helplessness, indignation, fury, and so much more.
Cinematography, visuals, and the soundtrack are also world class and well-fitting.
Some people might not enjoy it as it requires great interest and a certain bandwidth to dive into.
As there is a lot of things happening at a consistent pace, it does not make you feel something as much as give you a lot to unpack and decipher.
To people who think the plot does not add up, I suggest digging deeper. I assure you, all the answers are right there, the film just doesn't spoon feeding them to you.
