This movie is so unbearably bland and by the books, like the characters have no chemistry, the writing is laughably basic, and the plot is just a dry attempt at achieving the popularity of To All the Boys I've Loved Before. This was so glaringly obvious because the two share the same plot, only one is completely unseasoned. Boy wants popular girl, boy "pretends" to date not popular girl, two fight before climax, fall in love. It's aggravating that works like these are put on a pedestal and worshipped for having a bland plot with bland and stereotypical characters. This movie is sooo god awful and it's obvious that Netflix desperately needs this to be watched as it's shoved into EVERY single window of Netflix. Honestly, I'm scrolling looking for something to watch and it shows up every five seconds, enlarged and playing a trailer. I watched it already, what more does it want?? But in all fairness I'd like to pretend I've never watched that embarrassment either. Sorry for the rant! Just hope poor souls can read this and be warned before they watch it, and also before Netflix (inevitably) takes this down.
