I did not see the stage play or read the book and had no prior knowledge of the cast of the film. Very surprised at the criticism since I found it superbly acted and at no time did I feel that Ben Platt’s appearance was inappropriate for his role as a student. All of the cast were superb and the songs were beautifully performed. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I strongly recommend any doubters to give it a view.

What a treat to watch a brilliant actress once again put in a most believable and yet totally unexpected performance as a rock star. Add in her singing and guitar playing together with an authentic portrayal as a lead group singer the whole thing is an utter delight.

Great story lines supported by superb acting. Each episode left me awaiting the next and the last of six delivered a fully believable and satisfactory conclusion . A really enjoyable watch.
