Bel Canto is a beautiful film that goes beyond the stereotypes of terrorist and hostage to show the humanity that we all share. Music is the common thread that binds all of the characters because music is the language of the soul. I recommend reading Ann Patchett’s gloriously- written novel to get a fuller picture.
