I'll award "In The Dark" with three stars for the 1st season and 1 star for 2nd season. Positives are the overall quality of the acting and a potentially interesting idea. It is just really hard to pull off a comic but also dramatic show. Success like Ozarks or Breaking Bad means a tight plot, extended character development, high stakes, with just the right amount of humor. This show had a very convoluted plot, characters that I was constantly unclear about, none of the main characters ever seem in jeopardy because they are stabbed, beat up, involved in car crashes and every time they recover very quickly. The comedy didn't mix well and seemed over the top. One more thing. It's very hard to pull off a sympathetic anti-hero lead but they keep writing shows with this and If you really don't like the main character then this just doesn't work.
