Sanderson's return to the Mistborn world is extremely well done; Allomancy is a very engaging and intriguing art, and it is expanded upon even more in this book in ways I never expected.
It's very satisfying to see Scadrial restored after the events of the first Mistborn trilogy, especially to see how the various magic systems interact with an industrial revolution-like world.
The characters are in depth, feel real, and the humor-as always in Sanderson books- is spot on and definitely caused me to laugh out loud a couple times.
The fight scenes are very intense and a joy to read, as the many factors of allomancy and feruchemy- especially together- allow for a lot of really cool scenes throughout the book that feel well paced.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who loved the original trilogy, or just looking for a good mystery/action read!
