I saw the movie last night with my daughter and loved it. I dont understand why this young generation is making a fuss about this amazing inspirational movie. Take it from a 57 year old, the work culture was the same as shown in the movie back then. Me and my friend were the only girls studying in a batch full of 225 students back then in College of Agriculture,Marthawada University in Parbhani. All the teachers were male and they were always skeptical about us, always seemed irritated when we went to them to clarify our doubts and never gave me my due credits even though i was a state topper in my 12th boards. I dont blame them though. At that time women taking up technical proffesions were not normalised everywhere. Today as a agricultural scientist/researcher, i see tons of girls studying in the same very college where there used to be 2 girls in a batch of 225. Their experiences will be different than mine because times have changed. At those times my father laughed his heart out when i told him i want to take science and mind you he was much ahead of his times. So i request this generation of people to calm down a bit and enjoy this movie with a tub of popcorn. You will like it.
Also, loved the acting and the overall movie. A great watch on Independance day. My respect and good wishes to Gunjan Saxena and all the people who worked hard on this film. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.
