What the hell happened after episode 10 of season 6?! Did the execs hire new writers and start using film students to run the show? Not only did the overall quality quickly drop off a cliff, but the vision, the direction, the acting, and the content’s flow of events and how they were presented to the audience became completely ridiculous. It’s as if the show lost all sense of direction, and everyone involved with it forgot even the most basic fundamentals of what makes good entertainment. Each episode presented a chance encounter that reunited at least one of the cast with someone from their past and then only to kill them off. The new group of “Bad guys” are actually very polite cult members who don’t seem to mind when members of their own group are killed by someone, and therefore don’t seek out retribution against the people responsible for those deaths. No one even pretends to be scared of the walking dead and the fight scenes with them are poorly filmed and poorly acted out. A couple episodes were literally just pointless to the show’s overall plot line. Alicia willingly remains a captive to people she and the rest of her group are supposedly fighting or at least opposed to, and does nothing to escape during any of her ample opportunities. I could go on and on about all the things that don’t make sense, but suffice it to say season 6 ended horribly in a series of scattered and confused events poorly thought out, poorly presented, and poorly executed, and I am left wondering if the show’s Producers have any idea what they are trying to do at this point.
