Frozen Burrito

The pros- i am happy to see more lotr related material created. It is really great to have more well funded, quality production fantasy to watch in a world where most fantasy is very low budget. This show is watchable and the actors performances are good, sets are great, cinematography seems pretty good. The cons- it kinda feels like they just wanted to make the young hot version of beloved characters. I have trouble staying interested when i know what happens to all the main characters already. It doesn't really feel like lotr or even the hobbit. I would much rather have a more unknown story. For example, what happened to the blue wizards? Or how about instead of early sauron, why not tell the story of the rise and fall of morgoth and end the series with sauron becoming evil? Or maybe tell the tale of numenor and how the greatest world of men fell?

I put this movie on as background while i worked on some minor tasks. I found myself accomplishing nothing while i sat on the edge of the couch, completely locked into the slow building tension and outstanding performances. Dark, gritty, and emotionally intense, this movie took me in unexpected directions. I found it's lack of predictability refreshing. All around a great Drama/Suspense/Thriller, I really enjoyed this movie.

So happy the Zack Snyder version came back into existence. Loved all 4 hours of this movie. Hope justice league 2 gets a chance. Can't recommend this enough.
