The Failing Hours was such a great follow up to the Studying hours! I love this series so much! Oh Zeke… I thought Oz was a douche, but Zeke, he’s in his own playing field. He so mean and brooding, but his inner dialogue is what really drew me closer to him. He would blurt stuff out and couldn’t really figure out where it came from and he was always worried about what others would think and in turn acted more like a d bag. Violet is the perfect match for Zeke. She is his opposite even if deep down they are the same, or have dealt with similar issues. Where is hardened and jaded she is kind and understanding. This Failing Hours will have you laughing and swooning. You won’t want to put it down, but once you are finished you won’t be able to keep a smile off of your face because it was just that sweet and you won’t be able to resist Zeke’s charm and you will want to squeeze Violet in a huge hug!

International Player was my first Louise Bay novel and it most certainly will not be my last! I listened to International Play on the Audible Romance Package, the narrators accents were perfection and tantalizing. I couldn’t wait to push play on the story and get back to business with Truly and Noah. Truly had always had unrequited feelings for Noah and thought that she would never be in his league and even if something were to happen between them she was worried her heart would shatter because he had a pattern of getting bored with women after three months and she was terrified. After coming hom after six years in NYC, Noah wasn’t sure what he would do next and when he started helping Truly with the foundation she runs with her twin sister, he realizes that there is a much deeper connection there than just friendship. When the two start up a friends with benefits relationship the heat really turns up and things get ultra complicated and it’s sexy as hell to hear these two fight the pull and attraction all the while trying to figure it all out. International Player is a must read that will have you falling in love and having your heart break for both Truly and Noah! Want more audio? Check out my review of Faking It!

Welcome back step-brother romance trope… my have I missed you. Spider by Ilsa Madden-Mills is a modern take on Jane Eyre and my oh my was it delicious. “Let’s get one thing straight, stepbrother, your sexy little accent won’t work on me.” Spider was something special, he was a bad boy with a heart of gold, basically my crack when it comes to heroes. I can’t resist this in my books add in his British accent and I am a total goner! Rose had a rough childhood and was taken in as an orphan and was treated more as an accessory than a person. Even with all she went through she was still a strong willed woman. For as much as I enjoyed this story, it wasn’t really what I thought I would get going into it. I expected dark and angsty and while it did have these bits, Spider, overall didn’t have the feel I expected. I loved watching Spider and Rose overcome their many obstacles, I wanted to pump my fist in victory! I wanted to strangle each of them out of frustration. I enjoyed seeing Spider grow into a man and get cleaned up. I loved the steamy scenes and the OMG moment with things went down! I was so stunned, I didn’t see it coming. Overall Spider was a deep read and I enjoyed immensely.

Very entertaining Dirty Headlines, felt like I was watching television dramedy. While Dirty Headlines was an enjoyable story, at times I felt like the story was in big cliche surrounded by a ton of sex. I swear if the couple wasn't going at it like rabbits, one of them was thinking about what they wanted to do to the other. Consequences be damned. Other than all of the sex I enjoyed the story, while Célian was a jerk hero and pretty douchey at times, he still managed to get me to fall in love with him a little bit, which is quite the accomplishment, because if you've followed my reviews you know that I'm not too keen on alpha-holes. I had a nice little laugh at myself because I made a note in the book asking if someone can really be this emotionally stunted in reference to Célian and then the next page, Jude, our heroine said the exact same thing about him. Jude is an interesting character, and honestly, she is quite human. She was a strong and independent woman on the outside, but so weak when it came to Célian. If frustrated and irritated me, but then I realized because that is such a normal person thing to deal with, we all portray one thing on the outside that we aren't really feeling on the inside. Other than a few inconsistencies, that kind of bothered me Dirty Headlines was an engaging read. If you love office romances, dirty, kinky sex, and emotionally inept billionaires, this is the story for you!
