I don’t understand why so much hoops has been generated and continue to be fed to public on the case of that Sri Lanka family with the cheap emotional shots. Only because the lawyers took it up as their showcase to demonstrate how the law can be disregarded and should be twisted for them and not for the thousands of other illegal arrivals to OZ who have been assessed and refused the refugee status yet decided to overstay their visa. This is creating an unfair precedence and teaching others how to disregard the formal process and get the resident visa despite breaking the law. Get the loud lawyers on your case, manipulate the public with cheap emotional stuff, harass the politicians to make exceptions and you are in. How this is fair or just ??? Stop playing this game and teaching others how to get your way by disregarding and going around the law!
