I thought it was a solid 3.5 stars. The last 20% or so were about a 4 star for me but it took a really long time to get good in my opinion. I know it was dual POV but I’d wished we had gotten even some of Miles’ thoughts before the very end. It would have helped connect to it better. Tate can come off as pathetic otherwise. In line with most Colleen Hoover books though. Most are solid 3-4 stars for me but never reach greatness status.

I think I’m the only person who didn’t like this book. I thought it would. I love a tearjerker, I love YA, I love romance. But I did not like this book. I actually gave up around 50% which I never do. Skipped to the last chapter. It was so incredibly boring. The characters were completely unrealistic in a painful way. It was slow, cheesy, just like so saccharine sweet that it was unbearable. And this is coming from a hopeless romantic so it’s not like I don’t like romance books. The dialogue between the characters was so ridiculous. I just could not connect at all. I wanted to like this so much since so many romance fans recommend it. I guess I need a little more passion and angst in my teen romances.

I’ve read five Colleen Hoover books and this was definitely my least favorite. It wasn’t bad at all. I enjoyed it but I doubt I’d read it again like maybe someday or hopeless. I thought the premise was silly. Like they didn’t need to go through what they went through. There was zero reason they couldn’t keep in touch. Idk it just frustrated me. But I liked the live story well enough and the characters. Solid 3.5.
