After over 2 years in this pandemic and the extreme rise in hate crimes towards Asians in the US associated with it, you still choose to continuously use comedy as a security blanket for racist remarks towards BTS. It wasn’t a joke, it’s not comedy, it’s xenophobia. We see past the boy band name drops as a cover, we all felt the silence after the monologue. Words are matter, and clearly you and your team picked them very carefully. While I’m not surprised by this, I’m still disappointed and enraged since that type of rhetoric is what contributed to people committing said hate crimes. Do better.
