This movie is incredibly underrated. The visuals of this movie are incredible and well worth it, as well as the devotion to the franchise. The themes are excellent, and every actor is on-page to make this movie a celebration of Star Wars. Everything the Last Jedi tried to do to make the franchise cheap, uncinematic, and underwhelming was outdone (and partially too outdone) by the work JJ Abrams was able to do.
While this is, I do wish that this film was split into two parts. There was a lot said, and a lot that needed to be said in order for the movie to make sense. If there could have been two movies, then all the complicated cliff-hangers and twists would have been dwelled on more and addressed more.
But all in all, this is not a movie to avoid. Don't let the review bombing scare you. This movie is worth watching, even if you don't like it that much.
