It was alright. I wouldn’t pay to see it, though. This should have been on Netflix or Prime. It’s very slow and confusing at the beginning. Then it speeds up and rushes through the plot due to it only being 1.5 hours. I would have liked to have seen a longer movie with a more in depth dive into the character backgrounds and the plot beefed up. Acting: *** Special Effects: *** Plot: *

This movie was cute for newcomers but feels like a watered down version of the original movie with Angelica Houston. They skipped most of the juicy bits of the original, shortened the plot and added a bunch of cgi.... This will be fun for newbies but a big let down for those of us that watched and loved the original.

It's a replica of the first version except now it's 2020 and the campy, stereotypical gays and their lives arent really that exciting or taboo in the new century where gay marriage and gay everything is in the mainstream everywhere. Also the acting feels like they are in a play, not a movie. Somethings off.
