Really excellent. Dark and at times distressing. Very much about a real man trying to get by. Loved all the references to Sister Alice (in reality Aimee McPherson and her bizarre and phenomenal mission), LA looks incredible too but all sides shown. Doesn't avoid or gloss over the racism and misogyny of the times.
