Binged in one afternoon Loved this Noirish offering from oz on BBC iplayer showing Australia as the multicultural place it really is. You wouldn’t think it would you,Aussie shows have hitherto very rarely had POCs in them, so I was pleasantly surprised to see many indigenous and other “non white” actors appearing in this drama. The scenery is breathtaking and superb acting by Leah Purcell made up for some annoying plot holes here and there. Most of the low rated reviews here are by Aussie folk, with their usual embarrassment of anything homemade, peppered with heavy hints of ingrained racism. Don’t listen to them. Cant wait for season 2!

The question on my mind is, did she leave because she’d learnt that Billy Rockwell’s wife was about to die? Good acting from Ecclestone and the children. The ending could have been better

Great portrayal of characters and beautifully acted. I’m sorry that I had to watch the excellent Ms Manville act such a dislikable character. Loved every bit of it, though.
