Most superhero movies I've seen and heard about are just lazily-written CGI garbage so I've never really liked the genre. DC especially sucked in the past. So I went in expecting to dislike this movie, but I didn't I really loved it. It's not afraid to be a little cheesy and return to its comic book roots, it totally earns it. And it's the first movie that has remotely made me understand Superman and the point of his character. For the first time, I'm looking forward to seeing the next superhero film in this continuity!
