One of the funniest anime shows of all time. Though the subject matter may seem boring (a bunch of relatively normal school girls going about their daily lives), the depictions of their lives, quirks, struggles, and achievements is thoughtful and a delight to watch. A great light hearted comedy that hasn't gotten nearly enough attention among the post fan-sub era of anime fans. A must see.

This feels like an exceptionally accurate depiction of the hell on earth known as middle school, with a massive nostalgia factor due to my 90s middle school experience. Though often funny and a bit odd having clearly older female leads, I really get the vibe that they aimed for a non-ironic depiction of this difficult period of life that seldom gets honest depictions (Netflix's Big Mouth being another noteworthy though more over the top depiction of the sexual insanity of adolescence). Cute, clever, thought provoking, and highly relatable, this is a comedic drama I can easily recommend after watching the first season.
