Not life-changing, but recomended. For me, its most valuable trait is it's nice example of what a good book is. Like, it's not mind-bending, it's not surprising or crazy, but it does have its moments, but again, as I say, it's enjoyable if you want to go into a cool interesting, fun story. I would compare it to watching something like... I don't know... One of these movies that pop up in TV at like 16:00 in the evening and you say "hm. ok, gonna watch it" and you end and feel like it wasn't a lack of time, like another shitty movie in TV.
