This book was wonderful! Charming is the word that comes to mind. I read it in a day, which is quick for me. It reminded me of a fairytale that my grandma would tell me. It gave a nod to nostalgia while adding intricate details that brought it to life in a fantastic new way! From start to finish I loved the imagery. It really struck me as beautiful writing, clever yet not too superfluous. The characters were interesting and I became invested in them. I was surprised by the twists and delighted the unexpected turns. The climax was exciting and satisfying! I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next installment. Congratulations on a great book Lauren!
