The movie is an unrefined mix of good camera-manship and shiny appearance, cheap jump-scare horror, and a 3-cent detective script. The acting is amateurish in my personal opinion, but on a fair note, my companion thinks the actors had done a decent enough job. However, the directing of the movie is unanimously the worst part. The tones of the film are all over the place and the jumps between cuts are so jerky that one has to wonder if the director started this film right after completing a 2-month crash course in movie directing.
In summary, I think the movie was 2 hours longer than my tolerance for bad movies allows for. My two stars are wholly devoted to the camera/costume team and the marketing team as they are the only ones I can see where parts of the 100 billion VND went.
