Having played the game to completion I feel that I agree with pacing criticism and it’s the odd side quests that cause the bizarre pacing. I have played since NES and I truly wish the is not called FF. It doesn’t feel at all like a FF game except for a few spots. The core elements of the story are FF friendship, over coming doubt, and fear, doing the right thing. I won’t spoil but I’ll just say many things you expect in a FF game are not Present.
Overall I accept it as a FF game and it’s much much…… much better than the previous two not counting a thing online. It’s the first game I’ve seen that pushes the PS5 to the limit. Oh and my God some of the absolute best music! The highs of this game more than make up for the flaws I’ll give it 5 star since google doesn’t do a 10 scale. If they did I’d give it 8.5. Worth playing.
