so confused why everyone loved this. i am on the final 100 pages of book 1 and it’s so boring to me. i haven’t felt any emotion. there’s so much dialogue that i feel like im reading a script meant for a movie or tv series. this was written a long time ago so perhaps the fantasy world has advanced. the authors lack of detail to describe the crew members left me feeling a lack of connection to them. the plot of the rebellion seemed so random to me. the romance is very minimal and also felt random. the only characters i feel like i really know are vin kell and sazed. sazed provides a lot of detail on religions he’s memorized but for what?! random bit of information. lack of connection to character and overall minimal details left me so bored.
