Though people celebrate many new directors for their contribution to cinema , Bala's Naan Kadavul inspired me as a filmmaker since its release on theatres . I've seen the movie 3 times in various theatres across kerala . A particular incident i remember is when i watched the movie in kollam aradhana theatre , after the movie was over and as the audience was leaving the theatre , i never saw a group of people so silent about what they saw on screen . some were blowing their noses and so dumbfounded by the horror inflicted on humans by humans . to me this movie is one of the most important movie and the only regret i will have in my life is not making a movie so powerful as this one !
