Wasted a day reading this book. It was gripping at first, but then there were so many plot holes, especially at the end. I think the author tried to do something "smart" with the twist at the end, but it totally backfired.
***SPOILER: if the wife did it in the end, why would she bother wasting so much time and effort on defending his case, meeting the DA to negotiate deals, try to get more evidence to help her win? If she wanted him to be convicted the whole time, why wouldn't she just hire him a bad lawyer? Would have saved her a lot of time and money, especially since his bail was $500K. Lot of things really didn't make sense, including the characters' emotions, which were totally contradictory. Don't waste your time on this one.
