This show was entertaining and I enjoyed the stories and the backdrop, especially the Native American themes. No 5 stars though because everyone at the sheriff's dept is a egotistical self-righteous hypocrite, with Walt topping the list. I think Walt broke more laws than anyone. And don't even get me started on whose campaign for future sheriff he intends to endorse at the end of the show. Yeah I should have expected that from someone as egotistical and controlling as Walt. Only in Walt's kingdom does that line of succession have any sense.That child kidnapper with no cop experience should be behind bars. Way to keep it in the family. Im guessing Ferg is supposed to be the family pet? I get it, Walt only likes to hire people that flatter his ego or who he is attracted to. He cruelly turns down anyone that threatens his ego, like Travis. It's just irritating that they try and pass Walt off as a noble hero. Walt is borderline evil. I don't like how Walt spent most of his time chasing and arresting heroes, people actually doing the right things, like killing serial rapists or traitors to the rez. Walt pretends to be noble, but he doesn't care about right or wrong, only about solving cases against people who undermine his authority as law man so he can get an ego boost for his god complex. I wished Walt would fall off his horse and die and not have a cell phone to call anyone for help. My favorite characters were Travis and Nighthorse. Nighthorse got treated like everyone's punching bag and sacrificial lamb, and I don't like how the writers tried to defame his character and make him seem self interested and weak when he was saving and helping everyone at his own risk, with his life on the line over and over again because of Walt and his insane witch hunt. It was because he was jealous and felt threatened by Nighthorse, since Nighthorse built the casino without King Walt's approval. Actually Nighthorse is probably the most law abiding, forgiving, merciful, wise, and strongest character in the whole story. Nighthorse for sheriff!

Boring. Pay off isn't worth it. The protagonist's deadbeat sisters take up too much screen time with their insults, lecturing, and irrational complaining. They gave me a headache. No wonder he went nuts.

Started off alright, but stopped watching after the first episode. The idea that an itsy bitsy untrained 17 year old girl could beat a room of trained male fighters living in Spartan like conditions, some twice and three times her size, was ridiculous. The show stopped being gritty and realistic. She might as well have magic powers. At the rate the show was going, with one more week of training the main character should have been able to take on George St Pierre.

Except for 1 or 2 characters, all the interesting characters with real presence are steadily eliminated. I don't like Sylvie's noble hypocrite character especially. Being able to fly a plane doesn't make her a compelling leader or lead character. Anyway, it becomes clear who is expendable and who isn't and I stopped caring because most of the characters left are the unlikable self-righteous whiney complaining ones that make me wish the plane had never taken off. Whatever choices the people on the plane made, the writers made the wrong choice by getting rid of the characters that kept me watching and leaving the ones that get on my nerves.

The acting was good but the story was slow and lazy except for the very last part which was better, but not enough. An example of laziness: in order to make the audience not be too grossed out by and completely hate the nurse because of his vengeful actions toward his ailing patient (since we don't learn the reason for revenge until more than halfway through the movie), the story opens with a scene where the frail old drug lord advises his son to execute someone. The point of that is so we don't feel too bad for the old guy as he is being tortured for the entire movie over and over again without any explanation. And when the audience finally learns why the nurse is seeking revenge, the reason seems stupid because the drug lord patient didn't directly have anything to do with the reason. I wanted a stronger reason, but instead it was immature and illogical, like someone torturing an alcohol manufacturer because their dad was an alcoholic.
