One of the warmest, funniest, and most clever comedy/mysteries ever and a personal favorite of mine. Alan Bates is marvelous as a jocular somewhat weird professor whose predilection for anagrams and crosswords are central to the story. Sinead Cusack is also marvelous as are all the characters. I can't being to describe the pure joy of this series. Just watch it if you have a chance and judge for yourself.
