Frustrated with this movie. Had potential to be great but came up short. Positives were the beautiful landscape and message of being true. I felt they did women a disservice in the way they changed the story. Original placed Mulan ahead because of her creativity and ingenuity. The addition of magic seemed to devalue the gifts women have. Almost as if they need magic to compete with men. Character development outside of Mulan lacked greatly. Had very little emotional connection to any other character.
