Another fantastic Michael Crummey accomplishment. Is it dark? Yes. Are some character purely evil? Of course. But is it realistic and heart wrenching? Absolutely.
I found the Newfoundlandese more challenging in this book than in his others, but it does add to the plot, I believe. If you are a Crummey fan, don't delay. Loved it!
