I love the shows and the pros, grandparents and children contestants. HOWEVER.....the tympanic, bombastic drum , double bass, etc., accompaniments are totally loud, distracting, annoying, and even intefere with hearing the speech of the people on the show. I realize that it is probably supposed to help with "excitement," but I think totally unnecessary and distracting. I HATE it! The audience certainly doesn't need any help to enjoy the shows! Guess I'll go watch tonight to see the "new." Chopped. It is such an innovative show, and I'll continue to watch in spite of the obnoxious loud percussion music as background. (maybe just a while longer)
