Hi Readers! Here we go! In order to give you a fair and honest review, I have to take all things into perspective. With this being said, this is a spoiler! Besides the obvious fact that this is a real life adaptation geared mostly for adults and few younger groups, it disappointed in a few small ways! But in order to give a fair and honest review we need to mention both positive and negative. Positives: Movie had several parts that were exactly in line with cartoon Disney version, including exact words from the animated film. This version also pulled specific scene references from the animated version. Sadly, with every scene that started similar to the cartoon version it ended as a new version of the scene. It was a complete 50/50 split between exact and relevant to 2025( minus the aliens). Negatives: One Curse word"What the....?!" Unnecessary and disappointing. Multiple Short shorts and low cut outfits even on Lilo and Nani. This isn't a PG 13 or R rated film. Although, all actors and actresses are beautiful and great choices for their role it wasn't needed. Jumba was made the bad guy and taken away in the end! He was one of my favorite characters! Cobra Bubbles character was not a frontal character until the end!? David's character also played a background position. Little to no reference to "Elvis," which was Lilo's basis and mentor to everything! The beginning of the movie(first 10 minutes) is so fast, you better not blink or you will miss it or be confused! The ending was dramatically different than the original(this was the most surprising part). Disney movies have lasted a lifetime as is, why fix or change something that isn't broken. I was in a full theater tonight that resignated more with the familiar lines/Scenes than the new ones. There are many things that can be mentioned. However, the more I mention and analyze the more it takes away from the movie itself. I gave 3 stars because of the original taste of the animated Lilo and stitch that was present. But I genuinely wanted to give it a 5 star. I would not promote it, buy it or consider watching again, for what was mentioned previously in this review. As I said before, this is one opinion. It doesn't count for much. But if your going to spend money to make a connection with your audience at least stay true to the classics and know what you are paying $53.00 dollars for(minus concessions).
