I like dinosaurs, sci-fi weapons, and the actors did a pretty good job.
Pros:
I thought the language barrier between the characters was a nice touch.
Dinosaurs were mostly pretty good but not Jurassic Park/ World level good.
Acting was convincing.
Pace was quick for the most part, doesn't slow down or get boring.
Decent level of action, suspense, and emotion.
Cons:
The weapons had very underwhelming sound effects.
Action scenes and movie in general was kind of short.
Too few herbivores in the movie. Just hordes of predators running around waiting for 2 people to crash land.
Tyrannosaurus Rex is one of the most heavily researched dinosaurs and yet they still had some irritating inaccuracies. No feathers like we now understand they had. They also had excellent senses and were reasonably intelligent by some of today's predator standards, so I don't think they would have attacked the escape pod looking to snack on two mammals (the biggest mammals at the time were rodent- like and beneath a trex's attention span) while there were meteorites barraging their surroundings and while there was another large carnivore (fasolasuchus) around close by. Predators that aren't mindless know how to assess danger and generally use some caution around unfamiliar/ dangerous scenarios. The fact that the rexes were hunting in a pair demonstrates the use of tactics, they wouldn't just go full bore after a tin can with what smells like overgrown hairless possums inside.
Also the fasolasuchus should have a narrower head, maybe that's why the other reviewers thought it was a trex with 4 legs.
Good movie with a few easily avoidable mistakes that I'm willing to overlook because I appreciate what the movie was going for; and I like dinosaurs.
