I thought this was an amazing movie! I’m not sure how people didn’t get caught up in it like I did. JLo actually gave a believable and heartfelt performance here. The writing was great. Most of the CGI was acceptable (except near the end when the budget likely fell out), but overall it exceeded my expectations.

This movie was a twist, for sure. A little bit Hannibal Lecter, but then again, not really. The satirical look in the acting was amazing. The script, I think stole the movie. It had you going several different ways until the last half hour. I found it dark, and Uniquely refreshing. It’s the kind of movie that keeps you in your seat from beginning to end because you want to see what’s going to happen next. When you think you know what’s going to happen next. A truly masterful work.

While the premise was good, the movie was inherently predictable, and a little underwhelming. I do appreciate what the objective was here, but it just seemed like too many holes were trying to be filled too quickly to accomplish the narrative. The work with the AI was amazing, but the story just fell a little bit short from about the midpoint on. It went from underdeveloped to overdeveloped, like there wasn’t enough run time to fully flush out what this could’ve been. I wasn’t overly disappointed, but I wasn’t overly amazed either.
