It's an okay movie. I think it is getting grossly overrated by people who's standards have fallen due to a lack of any sort of true cinematic excellence in recent history.
It has some excellent cinematography, and some beautiful scenes, but the movie as a whole is missing something. It feels very flat. The story line doesn't feel exciting, or interesting, it just seems like what's happening is just gonna happen. I never really felt much.
Additionally, the directing was not on point. Nor did the world building. It doesn't feel special in any capacity. It doesn't feel like another world, completely different from our own. The dialogue almost feels like something you'd overhear at work, rather than ancient cultures communicating about world deciding matters. The sets weren't all that inspired, either.
And the casting... that's one of the biggest problems. These actors were not the right choice. Nothing against the actors specifically, but they needed to try something new here.
Overall, I think there was a lot of room for improvement.
